CAHC Adult members will be required to volunteer a minimum of 6 (six) hours at a CAHC event for their horse to be eligible for year end CAHC high point awards
Volunteer hours must be completed by the horse owner or a member of the immediate family.
Volunteering 6 hours will satisfy the volunteer hour requirement for multiple horses.
Serving as an officer of CAHC, board member, or heading a CAHC committee will qualify as meeting the required 6 (six) hours. All work must be volunteer. Paid positions at a horse show or event do not qualify.
A CAHC event is defined as any horse show or activity sponsored by CAHC. This would include (but not be limited to CAHC Spring Show, CAHC Estes Park Show, CAHC Fall Show, Stock Show Booth, Delegate Fund Raising Events or CAHC Christmas Show). Volunteering at the Region 8 Championship Show will also count toward CAHC volunteer hours. If a question arises as to whether volunteering at a function would count toward volunteer hours, the Volunteer/Award program secretary will have the authority to authorize (or disallow) said function.
CAHC volunteers will be responsible for completing a "Volunteer Participation Form" for all hours completed. This form must be signed by the person managing the activity. (Show manager, board member, CAHC officer, etc.)
The Volunteer Program Coordinator will track volunteer hours. A listing of completed hours will be posted at CAHC events.
For CAHC volunteer hours, the calendar year will be November 1st through October 31st.
